When the ground and air freezes
The trees’ hearts don’t stop
and the cabinet door finally closes
in the summer it will bellow out again
You’re more likely to see the sun than snow
lately. Ever wonder how bad a worry is?
Put two sticks in the ground and by the next snowfall
if one stands, it’s only a small deal
but if both fall over, it’s a crisis
and if both stay upright, it’s time to evaluate your wins and losses,
go to the doctor and get a checkup,
(and don’t take no for an answer)
Don’t walk beyond the summit of your imagination,
it can render crazy things,
maybe change the trajectory of your reality for worse,
but that doesn’t mean stay on the beaten path.
Wherever you are, buy a bouquet of flowers for yourself.
Watch them wither away.
